No matter your reasons for wanting to bring some extra money in, it’s always possible as long as you have the right mindset and determination to persevere and commit to working hard. Whether that be to buy your first property, to help save to buy a car, or increase your savings for security, everyone has their own reasons.
Below are our top tips for bringing in additional income.
Start a blog
Blogs are a great side hustle that once they become known can be a full-time job for some people. Essentially, the more viewers you bring to your site, the more income you can generate. Income streams include display ads, sponsored posts, sponsored competitions, affiliate marketing and more. Generating an income isn’t instant, it does take a lot of hard work and dedication to publish weekly before you get a strong viewership. But once you do, it can be very profitable.
Teach something you are passionate about
If you have something you are passionate about, then why not teach it in the evenings to others? There are so many different hobbies that others love that you could teach if you are good at them. For example, you may be good at piano and be able to teach. Maybe you enjoy sports and could coach a sports team or languages and could tutor someone after school. It may be that you have to do some online courses before you feel comfortable teaching, but once you do, you can charge them for weekly sessions.
Buy and sell online
With so many social media channels out there and online e-commerce sites, it has never been so easy to buy and sell before. If you get the right product, you could buy it cheaply in the shops and then sell it online for a big profit. Yes, this may take a bit of research to do, but once you find the product you can be onto a big winner. Many people have managed to turn this idea into a full-time job for them once they have learnt some of the key tricks. Why not visit your local charity job or hardware store and see what they have in the sale section that you think you could sell for more than they are selling for? You could even start up your own website and try to sell from there at the same time using sites like Vintage, Etsy, eBay or Facebook MarketPlace.
